The phrase “narrowed green eyes of a deposed tsar” just clawed its way into my top ten openings of all time. I’d read a phone book written in this tone. More please!
Here I am just getting acquainted with your work on Lullabys echo and you drop this masterpiece in my inbox. 😂 I'm hooked. Now I need to know what becomes of Dimitri and Grace.
Oh my god I CACKLED!! Then I read this allowed to my husband and he cackled. This is my first piece I’ve read of yours. I WILL be reading more. Excellent. Hysterical. I’m still recovering 😂
This is delightful. The aristocratic Dmitri is a pitch-perfect narrator, snobbish, exact, and utterly sincere, and Grace’s breezy country charm makes a terrific foil. The chapter sells its premise in the first page and then happily milked every opportunity for feline etiquette to collide with chaos.
Fabulous.
Thanks.
“The Cold War of the carpets” 😂 this was great! I’m secretly hoping this really is what went down.
Haha, glad you enjoyed it. These are fun to write.

I'm honoured.
There is episode 2.
Working on the next entry...
He wouldn't love my peasant presence but I just had to subscribe to hear more from Dmitri. Absolutely delightful!
Have no worries. Dmitri hates everyone equally, regardless of their station.
This was fun to read and obviously fun to write.
You should 100% turn this into a serial, Gary.
I plan to. Thanks for reading.
I love this! What a wonderful way to begin my Sunday morning! Looking forward to the next chapter.💙
It was a joy to write. Thank you.
This is priceless! Oh, Dmitri…your domain has changed, bless your heart…
